NSF/ANSI 61 :
NSF/ANSI 61: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects is an American National Standard that establishes minimum health-effects requirements for the chemical contaminants and impurities that are indirectly imparted to drinking water from products, components and materials used in drinking water systems. That ensures they are safe for public consumption by verifying they don’t leach harmful contaminants.

NSF/ANSI 14 :
NSF/ANSI 14 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 are both standards related to plastic piping systems, but they focus on different aspects: NSF/ANSI 14 covers the performance and safety requirements for plastic piping system components and related materials while NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 focuses on the health effects of products, components, and materials that come into contact with drinking water.

WRAS :
The Water Regulations Approval Scheme is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials, helping businesses and consumers choose compliant products that keep water safe. That ensures the product is of suitable quality and standards to avoid water contamination and minimize waste, won’t affect the taste or smell of drinking water, and does not promote the growth of microorganisms.
